Two hurt in roll-over crash
Wichita Police say a car was traveling at very high speed when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle. It happened shortly after 11 o'clock Monday night on the off-ramp from eastbound Kellogg onto north and southbound I-135 near Washington.
Lt. Jeff Gilmore says an officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Kellogg in West Wichita when a car passed him traveling over 90mph. The officer pulled out to begin pursuit, but had already lost sight of the small sports car.
The officer continued east on Kellogg and when he took the exit ramp to get onto I-135, he saw that the car had rolled several times before striking an interstate sign and coming to a rest.
The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital in serious condition. Lt. Gilmore says shortly after they arrived it was determined their injuries were not life-threatening.
