Shooting reported outside south Wichita restaurant
Paramedics rushed a 36-year-old man to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck after a shooting in the parking lot of Mike's Steakhouse at 2131 S. Broadway in Wichita.
Wichita Police Capt. Max Tenbrook says a man was arrested without a struggle shortly after police got to the restaurant.
"He was identified by witnesses," Tenbrook said. "I think he was pretty much waiting there for us."
Tenbrook said there was some sort of disturbance in the parking lot before the shooting, but it wasn't immediately known what the fight was about. Tenbrook also could not say if the two men involved in the incident had anything with the restaurant, or if they just happened to be in that location when the disturbance broke out.
The victim was in serious condition.
