The Sedgwick County Election Office will have 15 satellite locations ready for advance voting this weekend for the August primary election. The locations will be open Thursday and Friday from noon to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Election commissioner Tabitha Lehman said advance voting began a week ago at the election office, and at least 725 people have cast ballots there.

She said only 2800 mail ballots have been returned, compared to 4,000 that were returned a week before the August 2008 primary. That election had a turnout of 15 percent. Lehman is expecting a light turnout for next Tuesday's primary.

She said there have been no high profile races that have generated strong interest in the election.
