Big for a Day event today at McConnell Air Force Base
The 22nd Operations Group and 349th Air Refueling Squadron at McConnell Air Force base is sponsoring the "Big for a Day" Event. 50 children involved in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program in the Wichita area will spend today at McConnell with 50 airmen stationed at the base.
The children will have the chance to see some of the day-to-day operations at the base as well as some of the planes and equipment used. They will also spend the afternoon at the base outdoor recreation center where they will be able to fish and participate in other outdoo activities.
The event runs from 11am until 3pm today.
