Construction project in portion of southwest Sedgwick County
With no rain to delay road work, the Kansas Department of Transportation is progressing with several construction projects.
A KDOT spokesman said asphalt paving work will be done on K-42 in Sedgwick and Sumner County. The project begins Monday west of Suppesville in northwest Sumner County, and continues about 8.7 miles east of the junction with K-49 near Viola.
The project is scheduled to be completed in October, weather permitting. No wide loads are allowed in the narrow work zone. The spokesman said trucks wider than 12-feet should use an alternate route. Drivers should expect delays of at least up to 15-minutes.
