Wichita company announces expansion plans
Despite a sluggish economy a Wichita company plans to expand its business.
"A BOX 4 YOU" , 4340 South West Street, with its line of blast resistant buildings plans to add more manfacturing in a second building. The company also plans to add 32 new jobs over the next four years to its current workforce of 46 to an eventual 78 employees. The average annual wage of the new jobs is approximately $46,000.
In a news release, Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer said " Its great to have home-town entreprenuers choosing to expand in Wichita. And we should never take them for granted. Supporting these expansions and securing more Wichita jobs is important to our economic future. It feels realy good when its a company founded here that also chooses to expand here." The company worked with the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition on the expansion effort.
