One dead in accident at Cheney Lake
One person is dead following an accident on Cheney Lake.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near a cove on the southwest side of the lake.
Few details from the Kingman County Sheriff's Office have been released. However, authorities have been able to confirm to KFDI News that the victim was kite-surfing at the time of the accident.
Sedgwick County EMS responded to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The accident remains under investigation.
