Wichita Police have identified the man who was found dead Saturday at a home in south Wichita.

The victim, 35-year-old Pheng Xiong, had been killed with a sharp instrument, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

A woman was seen running from the home at 830 South Erie before officers were called to the scene. Lieutenant Randy Reynolds said that woman is the victim's roommate.

On Saturday morning she was given a ride from a Dollar General store at Lincoln and George Washington Boulevard to a location on South Seneca. Police want to talk to the female driver who gave the woman a ride. Reynolds said the driver is not involved in the homicide, but police want to get information from her.

No arrests have been made.

This is Wichita's 15th homicide of the year. Reynolds said anyone with information is urged to call 911 or the police homicide division at 268-4181, or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
