5-year-old boy injured in north Wichita crash
Wichita police say a 5-year-old boy is in stable condition after being hurt in a two-car accident on the city's north side. The crash was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of North Mosley.
Lieutenant Doug Nolte said a 28-year-old man was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Mosley, and he lost control on a curve. The car went left of center and collided with a northbound Honda Accord.
Nolte said the youngster was in a booster seat in the back of the Honda. He was originally in critical condition, but he stabilized after getting to the hospital. The boy's 24-year-old mother was not hurt, and the driver of the Pontiac had minor injuries.
Police are still investigating the crash.
