Caller to 911 says "woods exploded" before Oklahoma wildfire
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A caller to 911 said the "woods exploded'' as he described seeing the start of a wildfire near Luther.
The fire began Friday and eventually burned about 4 square miles and destroyed nearly five dozen homes and other buildings.
The caller described seeing the driver of a dark pickup truck throw something from the vehicle before the wooded area caught fire. The man said he was going to a nearby house to warn the residents.
Oklahoma County Sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers Monday said there had been no arrests or suspects identified in connection with the fire.
