Hutchinson PD arrests three in connection with 15 burglaries
A Crime Stoppers tip had led the Hutchinson Police Department to three suspects on suspicion of making 15 burglaries in the area.
The first burglary occurred on April 10 at the Pic Quick on S. Main. Over the course of the next four months, burglaries continued up through an incident at Dillons on Aug. 3.
The tip helped officers arrest two adults, 24-year-old Justin Branscom (pictured, right) and 19-year-old Tyler Schmucker (pictured, left), and one juvenile, Joshua Hickey, 16.
Branscom is charged with four counts of burglary, four counts of criminal damage, one count of criminal trespass and one count of theft. Schmucker faces five counts of burglary, five counts of criminal damage and four counts of theft.
Hickey is charged with 14 counts of burglary, 14 counts of criminal damage and 12 counts of theft.
Hickey is being held at the juvenile facility. Schmucker and Branscom face a $45,000 bond, and are being held by the Reno County Sheriff.

- Pic Quick, 800 south Main on April 24
- Pic Quick, 800 south Main on June 12
- Grace Episcopal,2 Hyde Park on April 25
- Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N Plum on April 29
- Our Redeemer Lutheran, 407 E 12th on June 25 and June 27
- Seventh Day Adventist, 1302 N Severance on June 30
- Trinity United Methodist, 1602 N Main on July 19 and July 23
- First Congregational, 3410 N Plum on July 23
- First Baptist Church, 800 North Main on July 23
- Hutchinson High School, 810 E 13th on July 29
- Dillon’s, 1319 N Main on Aug. 3
