Peterjohn defeats Longwell in county commission race

Karl Peterjohn will retain his seat on the District 3 Sedgwick County Commission, defeating challenger Jeff Longwell.

Peterjohn received 6,928 votes (56 percent). Longwell collected 5,304 votes (43 percent).

Peterjohn has been on the county commission since 2008. Longwell is a current member of the Wichita City Council. 

There is no other candidate on the ballot for the general election. The winner of the primary will take the District 3 seat.
