Sumner, Butler counties select sheriffs

Unofficial results from Sumner County show that Darren Chambers will become the sheriff.

Chambers collected 2,069 votes in the Republican primary. His opponent, Gerald Gilkey, had 860.

Chambers was the incumbent in the position. He is unopposed for the november general election.

In Butler County, Kelly Herzet defeated Carl Enterkin in the Republican primary with 4,968 votes to become the county sheriff. He had been appointed sheriff this past year. Enterkin received 2,236.

Herzet does not face an opponent in the general election.
