Wichita bank robbery results in federal indictment

An indictment has been handed down in federal court in Kansas City, Kan. against Terry Webb of Wichita.

The 42-year-old man is accused of robbing the Emprise Bank at 6030 E. Central in Wichita on July 14. 

 "A man walked up to the teller and threatened to blow the building up if he didn't get money," said Wichita Police Sgt. Scott Brunow during a police briefing after the Saturday morning robbery. "The man got the money and left the scene on foot traveling southwest from the bank."

Webb was arrested less than a week after the robbery.

If convicted of the federal bank robbery charge, Webb faces a maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $250,000.
