Wichita burglar caught after returning to the scene of the crime
Wichita police arrested a 32-year-old man after a burglary at an east side home early Friday, and he made the arrest easy for them.
Lieutenant Doug Nolte said the man broke into a basement window at a home in the 2100 block of East 9th. He awakened the residents, and they saw him trying to leave with a weed-eater. The man dropped the weed-eater and ran away. A short time later, the man rode by the house on a bicycle, and the residents pointed him out to police who were investigating the burglary.
The man was stopped and arrested for aggravated burglary and other charges.
