Two killed in Dickinson Co. crash
Two people are dead following a crash in Dickinson County.
It happened Friday morning on Highway 56 south of Herington. The Kansas Highway Patrol said the driver of a car traveling south on highway 56 crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck.
The impact sent the car into the ditch, where it overturned. Amber Alfred, 20, of Junction City and 2-year-old Josiah Alfred died in the crash. They were passengers in the car.
Two other people were flown by Lifeteam helicopter to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita for treatment. Four people were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Herington for treatment.
