Wichita Police are searching for a man that robbed the Bank of the West at 255 N. Main this morning around 10:30 a.m.

"The suspect ended up being a black male, approximately 6-feet tall, 180 pounds," said Sergeant Kelly O'Brien. "They described him as thin. He is wearing all black clothing, a black hoodie, a black bandanna across his face and sunglasses."

O'Brien said the suspect demanded and received cash from a teller at the bank, but no weapon was seen or indicated.

"The individual ended up leaving on foot from the area to the south and west," O'Brien said. "We're working with neighborhood businesses and other people in the area that might have seen anything."

One customer was in the bank at the time. No one was hurt. O'Brien said because the area is heavily populated with traffic, there may be other witnesses to the crime.
