Haysville Heat moving to Wellington
After playing three years in the city of Haysville, the Haysville Heat are moving out of town. The move will be formally announced this morning at 11 a.m. at Seller's Park in Wellington.
This is the third time the team has moved. The team originated in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. in 1993, then moved to Haysville in 2010.
"It's strictly a business decision. This is what's best for the Heat, for the coaches and the players," Heat owner Rick Twyman said in a press release Tuesday.
The Heat will play in Hibbs-Hooten Stadium beginning with the 2013 season. According to Twyman, the Heat will continue playing in the Jayhawk League.
