Wichita-based trade group gets new name
A Wichita-based trade organization has changed its name and its headquarters. The Kansas World Trade Center is now known as Kansas Global Trade Services.
The organization has relocated its headquarters from 125 N. Market to the second floor of the Old Town Center at 800 E. 1st St.
In a press release, KGTS President Karyn Page said the new name embodies the group's mission to add greater value for its customers and members.
The organization's board of directors took action in April to discontinue its membership with the World Trade Center's Association, and that means the local group can no longer use the "World Trade Center" trademark.
