The Wichita Thunder traded goaltender Adam Russo to the Arizona Sundogs Friday in exchange for future considerations.

Russo was pivotal in helping the team get to the Central Hockey League Finals last season, going 26-11-3 in the regular season and 8-5 in the playoffs. Russo did not play the last three games of the series due to concussion-like symptoms.

The team also announced the resigning of defenseman Jarrod Mohr and forward Matt Summers for the upcoming season. Last season, Mohr played all 82 games regular season and playoffs for the Thunder and racked up 43 points. Summers missed almost a month with a shoulder issue, but still managed to play in 74 games and collect 68 points.

Rookie Todd Hosmer was also announced on Friday.

The Thunder open the home portion of their 2012-13 season on Friday, Oct. 19.
