Butler County sheriff's deputies say two people were hurt when a car went out of control and overturned on a road near El Dorado. The accident was reported around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday near SE 40th and SE Bluestem Rd., southeast of El Dorado.

One person had potentially serious injuries. Another person was pinned in the car, and was later flown by medical helicopter to a Wichita hospital in critical condition.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the passenger is identified as Lori Ann Wirey, 38, of Leon. She was listed in critical condition late Tuesday. The driver was Rachel Farr, 20, of Leon. She was taken to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital with less-serious injuries.
