Security officers find gun in high school locker
A student at East High School in Wichita was arrested Tuesday morning after security officers found a handgun in his locker.
School district security officers got a tip about the gun. It was found in the student's locker.
Police Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said a school resource officer found the 16-year-old student in a classroom and took him into custody. The teenager was booked into the juvenile detention facility for possession of a firearm on school grounds.
