Fatal accident in Pratt County
A Haviland, Kan., woman lost control of the SUV and died in a rollover accident in Pratt County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the accident happened just before 10:30 a.m. Thursday on Southwest 20th Street and Southwest 110th Avenue, 11 miles west and two miles south of Pratt. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Troopers said Patricia Lynn Vasquez was eastbound on southwest 20th when her Dodge Durango hit a westbound vehicle, went to the right and hit a sand ridge. She lost control and entered a north ditch.
The Durango rolled two times and came to rest facing northwest. She was dead at the scene.
