Woman hit by car near Wesley Medical Center
A woman in her 60s is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of N. Hillside.
The car hit the woman just before 9 p.m.
"At this time, early investigations indicate the pedestrian was crossing on a no-walk," said Wichita Police Sgt. Jason Pfeifer.
A police officer was driving in his vehicle directly behind the one that ran into the woman. The accident happened on Hillside, which runs directly beside Wesley Medical Center. The woman was quickly transported to the hospital.
"She probably has some broken bones and some facial lacerations," Pfeifer said. "The hospital is currently conducting more tests to see if there is any internal damage."
