Arrests made in westside disturbance
Two men were arrested for their part in a disturbance overnight around 1:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of West Shade.
Wichita Police Sergeant Bruce Watts said gunshots fired came from a larger incident involving three people. Witnesses told police they saw a 23-year-old man fire several shots into the air. It is not known what the cause of the disturbance was or what provoked the man to fire the shots.
Police arrested the man for firing the handgun and carrying a concealed weapon, and a 21-year-old man for his connection to the disturbance.
There were no injuries as a result of the shots being fired.
