Jake Jacobs was released from Sedgwick County Jail on Wednesday, one day after having his bond lowered to $50,000 by Judge Ben Burgess.

Jacobs is charged with four counts of aggravated assault after he opened fire at a loss prevention officer inside the Burlington Coat Factory located in the 8200 block of East Kellogg on Aug. 13.

Mark Schoenhofer, Jacobs' attorney, said his client will need surgery to repair a broken jaw and teeth that Jacobs suffered during the arrest.

District Attorney spokeswoman Georgia Cole said Jacobs is required to wear an electronic monitoring device while he is free on bond. Jacobs' trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 22.
