Better Business Bureau warns of grandparent scam
A scam against grandparents is becoming prevalent again.
The Better Business Bureau says someone posing as a person's grandchild will call, claiming to need the grandparent to wire money to get out of trouble.
The supposed grandchild is out of state or out of the country. The person talks in quick, short sentences to keep the guise.
The BBB suggests asking the caller questions only their grandchild would know, then calling the relative back or someone else to confirm the situation.
