Fatal accident near Haysville
A woman is dead following a crash just southeast of Haysville. It happened shortly after 9 p.m. Friday at 82nd St. South and Laura.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said a man and woman were riding a 4-wheel ATV in the area when they crashed into a metal fence in the front yard of a home. Lt. Mary Mattingly said the woman died at the scene.
The man suffered serious injuries, but did not have Sedgwick County EMS transport him to the hospital for treatment. No names have been released.
Mattingly said the crash remains under investigation and more details will be released this weekend.
