A 47-year-old man faces a charge of aggravated battery after stabbing another man with a knife.

Police said it happened about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of South Mosley. Wichita Police Lt. Joe Schroeder said the fight was the result of an argument over tire slashing incidents.

Schroeder said the 44-year-old man was taken to Via Christi on St. Francis, where he was admitted in critical condition with chest injuries. The man's name has not yet been released.
