Three injured in Highway 50 crash in Reno County
A collision between a Ford passenger car and a semi on US Highway 50 in Reno County left three people injured.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the car driven by Robyn Herbst, 27, crossed the center line near Yoder and struck the Kenworth big rig. Herbst was taken to Hutchinson Hospital along with a passenger, William Myers, 24, of Medora.
Another passenger was more seriously hurt. She is identified as Tammy Lenz, 24, of South Hutchinson. Lenz was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A news release from the Highway Patrol said the semi driver took evasive action, but was unable to avoid the collision. The truck driver was not hurt.
The accident was reported at 1:55 p.m. Friday.
