The Kansas State Fair wrapped up its ten-day run on Sunday in Hutchinson, and fair officials are hoping to see above average attendance numbers in the final report.

The fair's general manager, Denny Stoecklein, said the final numbers won't be known for another 2 or 3 weeks, but he said he feels great about the overall performance of the fair.   Stoecklein said the midway reported its 2nd highest gross revenues ever.

Rain fell on the opening day on September 7th, and again on the 12th and 13th, but both weekends had good weather, and Stoecklein says that's always critical because most people attend the fair on the weekends.
