Catholic Charities food pantry has name change
Officials with Catholic Charities in Wichita say they have changed the name of the organization's food pantry. The Bread of Life pantry at 2825 South Hillside is now called Our Daily Bread.
In a press release, executive director Cynthia Colbert said the new name draws from prayer and scripture, and it also reflects the legacy and work of the pantry.
The food pantry is the only one in the Wichita area that offers service based on client choice, where people can shop and choose food items for their families. The pantry moved last February from a location near the St. Anthony Family Shelter to the new location on Hillside. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
