The new two-hour class is part of the new requirements for drivers to obtain or renew their taxi license. Drivers will learn about the city’s regulations, tourism’s economic impact and how to provide good customer service. The Wichita Area Hotel/Lodging Committee asked the city to review taxi regulations after hearing about taxi service from hotel guests. During the City Council’s discussions on the issue, Go Wichita offered to conduct the customer service training at no charge. The training classes are being held at Go Wichita Convention & Visitors Bureau at 515 South Main.
