Trial to begin in connection with beating death
Trial is scheduled in Sedgwick County this week for Clyde Johnson, Jr., who is accused of beating a man to death with a two-foot-long machine bolt in March of last year.
Johnson is accused of beating Joshua Northcutt and a 19-year-old woman at an apartment in the 600 block of North Topeka in Wichita. Johnson is also charged with raping the woman.
Northcutt was rushed to a hospital, where he died. Sedgwick County District Judge Terry Pullman is hearing the case.
