The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office describes a 49-year-old Wichita man's condition as extremely critical following a crash near Derby.

It happened around 5:40 p.m. Saturday in the 9500 block of East 63rd Street south, just west of Greenwich.

Sgt. Gary Hargus said witnesses saw the motorcyclist traveling at high speeds on 63rd Street before he lost control of the bike and was ejected.

"The bike continued eastbound on 63rd, finally coming to a rest along a fence line south of 63rd," according to Hargus.

EMS transported the man to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The man's name has not been released.
