Wichita police arrest 2 for west side robbery
A 36-year old woman was robbed of $2,000 after she was given a ride by two men to cash her disability check Saturday afternoon.
Wichita Police Sergeant Bart Brunscheen said that when the woman returned home, she was followed into her room by one of the men, who proceeded to punch her twice in the face and take the money.
The robbery happened in the 6100 block of West Kellogg.
Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said officers were able to track down the men, ages 40 and 45, on Sunday. They were booked into jail for aggravated robbery. Schroeder said the money has not been recovered.
