Oklahoma junior high student kills self at school
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) People are expected to gather at a church to pray after police say a 13-year-old shot and killed himself at an Oklahoma junior high school.
The Rev. Derek Belase says the prayer service at Highland Park United Methodist Church will begin about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the 13-year-old eighth-grader shot himself once in the head before classes began at Stillwater Junior High on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say some students witnessed the shooting, which prompted staffers to lock down the school and evacuate it.
