Naked man tries to enter Wichita school
Several people around Harry and Hillside called 911 Thursday morning to report seeing a naked man walking around.
Police caught up with the man, 22, who was acting very strangely.
"After the officers arrived they contacted Derek, who was wearing nothing but a stragically-placed bush around his hip area and his head," said police Lt. Steve Kenney.
KFDI is not releasing the man's full name because he has not been charged.
As officers were pursuing the man, he allegedly tried to enter All Saints Catholic School and Church. Later, officers tased the man when he assaulted staff members at nearby Via Christi Hospital on East Harry, where mentally-ill suspects are commonly taken in Wichita.
The man was booked into jail on four counts of battery, lewd and lascivious behavior and interferance with law enforcement officers.
