Coffeyville Police investigating double homicide
Coffeyville Police are searching for a suspect following a double homicide Friday night. It happened in the 600 block of East Third Street in Coffeyville.
A neighbor in the area reported hearing around 10 shots fired near two apartment complexes. KOAM TV reports that two men were killed. The men were identified as James Logan of Coffeyville and Latrell Boyd of Pine Bluff, Ark.
A third person was treated and released from the hospital.
Police are looking for a possible suspect who may be in route to the Leavenworth-area. Coffeyville authorities are also investigating a second shooting to try to determine if it is related.
The victim in that shooting turned up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, but it's unclear where that shooting took place. Police tell KOAM that they have at least one suspect in custody.
