Sheriff calls death of woman found in a ditch a case of homicide
A man may be booked into jail today for the death of a woman whose body was found in a ditch near 55th St. S. and Meridian.
Sedgwick County Sheriff Bob Hinshaw told KFDI a man is scheduled to be booked into jail on a murder charge. The sheriff said detectives had been following up two or three leads since the body was found Sunday morning by a passerby.
Hinshaw said there was some trauma to the body, but did not have a cause of death.
The woman has not been identified.
