Over 518 pounds of expired and unused medications were collected across Sedgwick County during the National Take Back Initiative.

Residents were able to safely dispose of the medication at locations across the county to prevent the medicine from getting into the wrong hands or from being improperly disposed.

The drug take back was held Saturday across Sedgwick County, and was sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency, in cooperation with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.
