Bombardier Learjet machinists could vote to strike today
Machinists Union members who work for Bombardier Learjet in Wichita are deciding today whether they will reject a contract offer and authorize a strike.
Negotiators recommended earlier this week that the workers turn down the company's latest offer. The union said the proposal increases worker contributions for health care and offers only minimal raises - no raise in the first year and 1 percent for the following four years.
More than 800 employees are eligible to vote at the Cotillion Ballroom in West Wichita.
