Man with gun robs woman for purse outside QuikTrip
A man threatened to kill a woman while trying to steal a woman's purse outside of a QuikTrip.
The woman was leaving the gas station in the 3100 block of S. Hillside around 10 p.m. Monday when the suspect approached. The woman tried to stop him from taking her purse.
"The suspect then produced a small, black handgun out of his pocket, and told her to 'Let go (expletive), or I'll blow your head off,'" said Wichita Police Lieutenant Steve Kenney.
The woman gave up the struggle, and the man left with a Hispanic man standing nearby.
The Hispanic man is described as 17 years old, 5-feet-10-inches tall, 180 pounds, and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The suspect with the gun is described as 16 years old and 140 pounds. He was wearing a black or red hoodie and red shorts.
