Wesley Medical Center begins "First Trimester" of reconstruction project
A $36 million facelift is planned at Wesley Medical Center for its women's care facilities.
The 65,000-square-foot project includes floor and patient room upgrades, including the development of 16 additional patient rooms.
"We want women who utilize out facilities to have the very best experience possible," said Steve Edgar, Chief Operating Officer for Wesley Medical Center. "It's our mission to provide quality patient care to every patient, every time, but we also want women to feel good about their environment around them and be as comfortable as the can while they are recovering."
Renovation of Wesley's women's care facilities includes post-partum and anti-partum units, and is just one of several hospital areas that are slated as an upcoming capital improvement project. A spokesman said the facility upgrade continues Wesley's commitment of offering state of the art facilities, equipment and technology to its patients.
Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2013.
