The water damage has been repaired at Courtyard By Marriott in Old Town after a 12-inch water main exploded in Old Town.

125 people were evacuated from the hotel and moved to other hotels about 3:30 Wednesday morning. The hotel re-opened Friday morning. It was a 100 year-old water main.  " The water main has since been repaired, but officials are trying to determine why a control system failed to read a pump change," City of Wichita Assistant Public Works Director Joe Pajor said. " Temporary repairs were also made to the street near 2nd and Mosley with permanent repairs in the near future."
