Minivan crashes into disabled vehicle near Viola, teenager hurt
A girl who was helping to push a minivan on K-42 highway was injured when a second minivan crashed into the back of the vehicle.
The accident happened near Viola at around 11:45 p.m. Friday.
The victim is identified as Taylor McCreery, 17, of Viola. She was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in potentially serious condition.
Helping to push the minivan were Bailly Williams, 15, of Viola and Devin Gile, 22, of Viola. Neither of them were hurt. Marie Landonglos, 17, of Goddard was steering. The Kansas Highway Patrol listed Landonglos as having a possible injury.
Neither of the occupants of the vehicle that crashed into the disabled minivan were seriously hurt. That minivan was driven by Richard Boese, 43, of Harper and his passenger is identified as Tonya Boese, 42, of David City, Neb.
