One hurt seriously in crash in Riverview area
Wichita Police say a man in his 60s drove into the path of another car at Seneca and McLean Blvd.
"The driver of the small green car had stopped at one time at the light going southbound on Seneca," said Sgt. Jerry Quick. "He began pulling out into the intersection. The younger female with the child was northbound on McLean. The older gentleman pulled out in front of her and they struck in the intersection."
The man was trapped in the car for a time before he was taken out by emergency personnel. He went to a hospital in serious condition.
"The female had minor cuts. The child was OK because he was in a child seat," said Quick. "They're fine. They didn't require any medical attention."
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m.
