NE Kansas woman charged with embezzlement
A northeastern Kansas woman is accused of stealing more than $817,000 over six years from the credit union where she worked.
The U.S. Attorney's office filed a criminal information Tuesday charging Pamela Emig with embezzling from Enterprise Credit in the town of Enterprise. Such charging documents are typically filed with the consent of the defendant and indicate a plea deal is likely in the works.
Prosecutors are also seeking a forfeiture money judgment of more than $817,000 the amount Emig is alleged to have taken from April 2005 through August of last year.
Court records did not indicate whether Emig had an attorney, and telephone numbers listed for her in public records had been disconnected.
