Don't play with matches - a youngster learned that lesson the hard way.
Seven people and a dog escaped injury after a house fire in the 1500 block of South Waco Tuesday afternoon. The fire started in a front bedroom.
Four adults, three children and a dog were inside the home when the fire broke out. A fire investigator said damage was estimated at $70,000 to the home and its contents.
The Red Cross was called to assist the family with temporary lodging.
