Police release name of man struck and killed by train
A man hit by a train may not have even been aware he was on dangerous ground.
Wichita Police said 41-year-old Cedale Brown had been taking medication and stepped in front of the northbound train. Police said the conductor and crew "laid" on the horn to alert Brown of the oncoming train.
Brown died about an hour later at a Wichita hospital. It happened Tuesday afternoon on the tracks near 17th Street North and Santa Fe.
